Drysdale Bacon McStravick recently teamed up with a local Vancouver developer to create the DBM TaxApp for Google Android and iPhone.

The TaxApp is a simple calculator that can help both real estate professionals and homeowners calculate Property Transfer Tax and Harmonized Sales Tax for homes in British Columbia. The TaxApp also features a calculator that can be used to figure out the PTT exemption for first-time homebuyers as well as a calculator for homeowners and investors interested in finding out their HST New Housing Rebates. Individuals that are interested in finding the net home cost from the gross purchase of a home will also be pleased to find this feature on the application.

The TaxApp can be downloaded directly to any iPhone or smartphone that uses the Android operating system. The TaxApp was the Brainchild of DBM’s Senior Real Estate Counsel Laura E. Holland, who joined DBM in March of 2010.

You can read more about the TaxApp on our website or by visiting the Google Play Store or iTunes.

In 2016, DBM reached a milestone 40 years of practising law in the Tri-Cities area. We are very proud of our long history in this community, and we thank our many clients—our neighbours and our friends—who have supported us throughout these past four decades and on into the future.
